How about my day of The 3rd Forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation

Here I shared one article which our Hongdefa General manager Miss Guo write about her experience in a great meeting about China and Africa cooperation.

1. About the forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation

   The Forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation(CALGC) was launched by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign countries (CPAFFC) in 2012 and has been held once every three years. It was taken into the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2015. Six years after its initiation, the CALGC forum has become a major platform for pooling insights from non-governmental sectors in China and African countries and promoting practical cooperation between China and continent.

   

  The CPAFFC host the Third CALGC Forum on May 7 to 8, 2018 in Beijing, which has drawn about 400 participants, including state leaders, central government officials in charge of local affairs and local government leaders from African countries and Chinese provincial governors and mayors and business. Under the theme of  “Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development”, the forum focus on talents training and production capability cooperation and contribute wisdom and strength to the exploration of the right way for developing nations to pursue a sustainable development.

Vice-President Wang Qishan highlights areas like poverty eradication at forum

China will support Africa's development by passing along experiences from its own development, Vice-President Wang Qishan said on Tuesday in Beijing.

Under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, local governments in China and Africa carry out exchanges and cooperation focusing on poverty alleviation and sustainable development, Wang said at the opening ceremony of the Third Forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation.

"It will promote the implementation of the China-Africa comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation," Wang said.

The two-day forum that started on Monday was attended by about 400 people from government and private organizations. It was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa.

Wang said China will unswervingly implement the mutually beneficial opening-up strategy to realize the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

China is still a developing country, he said, adding that unbalanced and inadequate development remains a major contradiction.

China still faces the arduous task and challenge of winning the tough battle against targeted poverty and ensuring the impoverished people will not be left behind in the nationwide pursuit of a moderately prosperous society, he said.

Bilateral trade volume between China and African nations reached $170 billion last year, and China's growth in imports from Africa is up 32 percent. Between them, they have established 135 "sister ties" at provincial and city level.

Niger Prime Minister Brigi Rafini said at the opening ceremony that Niger should further encourage, emphasize and promote local-level cooperation with China.

Former Tanzania prime minister Salim Ahmed

Former Tanzanian prime minister Salim Ahmed Salim said that apart from passing on experience, China is also helping Tanzania in developing its economy and building infrastructure.

Salim, also chairman of the Tanzania-China Friendship Promotion Association, said Tanzania hopes to strengthen communication at the local level with China to improve the governance system as well as to serve the people.

Wang also met with Rafini and Salim separately on Tuesday.

While meeting with Rafini, Wang said enhancing bilateral cooperation and promoting common development are shared hopes of China and Niger.

Bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields recently has witnessed vigorous development and China is willing to push forward China-Niger relations to a higher level, Wang said

Rafini said that Niger is happy to see China's growing importance in the international community and hopes to learn from China's development experience.

While meeting with Salim, Wang said China would like to promote bilateral ties to move forward through concrete cooperation projects.

Salim said he hopes the countries will deepen exchanges and cooperation at all levels and continue to consolidate and develop their traditional friendship.

At the Lunch time, we meet our friend from Ghana who is very friendly. And we discussed more about Ghana. And I have introduced our Hongdefa Company, as the Biggest manufacture for the maize milling machine, and we have visited Ghana of Tema and Accra last year. In Tema we have running wheat flour mill since 2002. And in 2017 we have installed one set maize mill machine of 30T/24h making maize grits.

When I was in Ethiopia for the wheat flour mill business trip during Middle April 2018, I had the chance to enjoy the Ethiopia tradional food and the culture. 

The music is very beautiful and good dancer, I love it so much.

Also the food Injera good taste. But the the raw natrue raw beef, I even dare not to try. It is totally different from China food.

Does Hongdefa maize flour mill machine can make quality maize flour for delicious Sadza/ugali/fufu?

Have you been to South Africa, Zimbabwe , Kenya or other southern countries before?

If you did I am sure you must tasted the local food made by Maize flour, it called Sadza (Zimbabwe ),Ugali(Uganda ),Fufu (DRC) ,Posho(Kenya)etc.It is the most common food in Zimbabwe. Just same food with different name in different Africa countries. They are their staple food , the local people eat this food almost every day, supper or lunch. Serve it with vegetable , potato, beef , fish or chicken . its really delicious.

I just came back from Zimbabwe and Ethiopia, I love their food and the good weather.

Sadza is cooked slowly until thick, like porridge. The Sazda quality is depends on the grade of maize meal. The quality of maize flour is not good and the taste will be rough. If the flour is good quality, the taste will be very delicate.

This time when I was in Zimbabwe, we visited some local maize milling machine factories. Their machines are old and need to upgrade with the new technology to make sure the final maize flour high quality.

Does Hongdefa maize flour mill machine can make quality maize flour for delicious Sadza/ugali/fufu? The answer is 100 percent sure.

Hongdefa maize milling machine is making best quality flour. Preparation of the maize for the milling process, Before the milling process proper can commence the maize must be suitably prepared. During this operation all impurities and foreign matter are removed, and finally the maize is conditioned by allowing a controlled quantity of water to penetrate the bran before the grain is ready for milling. 

Maize cleaning process using vibrating sieve, destoner, magnetic separators for drying cleaning. Use American design degerminator to get whole pcs germ, and use gravity table to getting the maize germ. We use double screw damper for keeping moisture the maize, microcomputer control the water damper, add water to ensure a more accurate and uniform water, prevent free water. A moisture addition of 6% to 8% and lying time of 20 minutes should result in clean separation of the maize components by the degerminator under normal condition, the use of degerminator for peeling maize into small pieces and embryo separated in order to ensure quality and by fully mechanized and use.

Milling process use light maize milling subdivision research methods, use of advanced maize milling and sifting equipment to ensure that its process effect, using a set of pneumatic conveying systems, blower air system, the process can also produce 3-6 kinds of high-quality final products, the fat content is not more than 1%.

Here is the recipe you can try to do make nice Sadza/ugali/fufu .

Put maize flour into pot, Add cold water to make a paste. Put pot on stove and add boiling water whilst stirring simultaneously.Keep stirring until it boiling. Cover pot and let it simmer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, add more maize flour bit by bit and mix. When it’s just about to reach the consistency you want, cover it and let is simmer for 5 minutes. Your Sadza/ugali/fufu is ready.
